Last weekend we took Nora Jane to a pumpkin patch/ petting zoo/ farmer's market for some fall family fun. The petting zoo was definitely the highlight of the trip. Nora Jane got to use a lot of her words bunny, duckie, quack, quack, bird (that's what she calls a chicken) she didn't know how to say goat, but she was very impressed with the baby goats. Other people were very impressed with Nora Jane and how brave she was. The guy standing next to me (who didn't know I was with nj) - kept saying "I love that kid" and pointing to her. He was a bit disappointed that his daughter clung to her mother in fear, while Nora Jane chased the chickens and screamed bunny, bunny. Unfortunately, it was close quarters in the small fenced in "petting zoo" and it was hard to photograph, but here are a few shots.
Checking out the bunnies.
Finally she gets to pet one. Hooray!
The pumpkin patch gave us a lot more opportunities to snap a few pictures.
"Yay, I'll take this giant pumpkin, please!!"
"Please, please mommy and daddy."
Daddy tried to help her pick out something smaller, but she wasn't quite convinced that was the way to go.
