Lately, every time we go outside and Nora Jane sees me lock the door she starts to scream keys, keys, keys - occasionally I make the mistake of giving her the car keys - this was one of those times.
She gets the first set of keys and is asking for the second that I am still holding.
Both sets of keys in hand and she's off.
"Hey, mommy are you looking for these?" (followed by a gleeful almost sinister laugh.)
"You can't catch me!"
At last she is caught next to the car, she looks angelic, but moments later when the keys are taken away so that we can go somewhere in the car a tantrum breaks loose. It was the first really bad one. The crying didn't stop until we got back out of the car. Live and learn mommy. Just because she can say keys doesn't mean she needs them.
